Comic Book Challenge

$150

with Rick Lundeen

Calendar Next available session starts Jun 1, 2024 at 1 pm, runs for 3 weeks

Ages: 6 - 18

This introductory comic workshop demonstrates how to better tell stories visually, and presents a challenge to students -- a situation where there's a visual problem to solve, and they have to draw up their solution. The purpose is to fully exercise the student's imagination with this challenge and then sketch up their solution in the form of comic book panels and pages to visually tell the story of their solution. Those students with a basic knowledge of anatomy and composition will be assisted in expanding and strengthening their visual storytelling skills. Students should bring their favorite method of sketching, whether it's their regular paper drawing pad and pencils/pens/markers or drawing tablet and stylus.
