A sketchbook is the artist's playground!  Enter the creative process as we playfully experiment, layer, paste, cut, stencil, sticker, journal and more!  Your sketchbook will become your companion to record and collect cool bits.  Join Linda Vorderer in this fun class as she guides you and explains new fun techniques. Set aside some time for yourself and come play with us!

Shop for a blank sketchbook, either 9" x 12" or my favorite 5" x 7" which fits into my purse.  I will email a list of items to collect before the first class, so please register early.  This class is for teens and adults of all skill levels.

Have fun and enjoy creating art each Tuesday at our Make and Take Tuesday sessions. Each week, your child can create a unique craft designed by our art teachers. Over two hours, your child can produce either directed art or use our facility to create process art in our selected art stations. Check our Facebook page for more details on the weekly crafts. 

Hone your figurative drawing skills with several poses by a professional figurative model. We will begin with shorter gestural poses and increase the duration, finishing with one longer pose. Bring your favorite materials to quickly draw or paint a variety of poses. Adults of all skill levels are welcome.

Take your figure drawing to a higher level with our SMALL BITES Anatomy Lab series.  These short sessions focus on challenging areas of the anatomy for figurative artists.   By gaining a greater understanding of what is below the surface, figure drawing becomes more natural looking.  The sessions are open to teens and adults of all skill levels.  They are designed to be “small bites” that can be useful immediately in our open studio sessions and other art work.  This approach will improve artist's perception and understanding of the form they are seeing.  Each session will begin by featuring an in-depth anatomical review of a specific area.  From there the session moves to hands-on drawing so what is learned may be incorporated into their technique to reinforce understaning.
