Kick off the season with Art of the Car – Cruising Into Summer, a fun-filled community celebration where creativity and classic cars come together for a day of family-friendly entertainment.  Proceeds will support our youth art programming. This exciting summer event invites people of all ages to enjoy a mix of free and affordable activities designed to bring the community together in a welcoming and festive atmosphere.

Guests can stroll through a free community car show featuring classic cars, custom rides, and unique vehicles while enjoying live music throughout the event. Families can explore a lively vendor fair filled with local artists, makers, and small businesses offering handmade goods, treats, and unique finds. Children will love the free car-themed crafts, interactive activities, and inflatable bouncy house designed to keep young visitors entertained for hours.

For those looking for even more hands-on fun, low-cost activities will include pinewood car racing, creative art projects, food offerings, games, and additional family activities that encourage imagination and friendly competition. We'll have an Oak Lawn Fire Truck on hand too!  Whether you are a car enthusiast, an art lover, or simply looking for a great summer outing, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.  

There is no admission fee, but we do ask that you bring a non-perishable food item to support Pilgrim Faith Food Pantry, which has a great need in these times.

Open Studio – We all show up to paint! Bring your current project or start something new. You’ll have dedicated creative time in a supportive, encouraging space.

Water Media – We’ll focus on solvent-free painting techniques using watercolor and acrylics. Whether you love the fluid transparency of watercolor or the bold versatility of acrylic, you’ll receive instruction, tips, and personalized guidance throughout the session.
